SuperConcepts’ Mark Ellem has taken out this year’s CEO Award at the annual SMSF Association National Conference.

Ellem took out the CEO Award for his outstanding contribution to the SMSF Association and to the broader SMSF community. Joining the Association in 2003, he attained his SMSF Specialist Accreditation in 2005 and has worked tirelessly to raise competency standards in the SMSF sector. 

“The [CEO Award recognises a] recipient’s contribution to the Association is measured against the values of professionalism and integrity,” according to the SMSFA Honour Board.

“It’s an honour to win this prestigious award this year when it is such a pivotal time for the SMSF sector,” said Mr Ellem.

SuperConcepts CEO Adrian Urquhart paid tribute to Mr Ellem’s professionalism, his passion for the SMSF industry and his outstanding contribution to the SMSF community..

“It is a tremendous recognition of Mark’s outstanding service to the SMSF sector, the SMSF Association and his overall commitment to diligence and professionalism.

“Over the past few years, Mark has been the driving force behind the construction and launch of our suite of on-line SMSF training modules - which we firmly believe will transform the way SMSF professionals access technical education and continuing professional development.  

“We are very proud to have Mark as a member of our market leading technical team which boasts some of the most experienced and respected SMSF technical experts in the business,” said Mr Urquhart. 

An accountant by training, Mr Ellem is an executive manager on the SuperConcepts technical team, which provides technical support and accredited education services to the SMSF professional sector.

“I’m grateful to the SMSF Association for the opportunity to further their mission, which is everyone’s mission to ensure a healthy and thriving sector continues for SMSF trustees, members and professionals,” said Mr Ellem.
