SuperConcepts has launched a new online course to support self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) trustees wanting to learn more about the requirements and responsibilities of running an SMSF.
The course has been designed as an interactive and engaging experience, including “Ask an expert” pop-ups and links to ATO videos, checklists and references that help SMSF trustees manage their fund.
Although specifically designed for SMSF trustees who receive an ATO education direction, the course is also available to anyone who wants to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of being an SMSF trustee.
The course is currently delivered through SuperConcept’s direct-to-trustee brand, AMP SMSF and can be completed in one sitting or across several sessions.
SuperConcepts General Manager Technical and Education Services, Peter Burgees commented on the importance of access to quality education and information for SMSF trustees.
“Running an SMSF can be a complex task, which requires an understanding of many rules and regulations to be compliant. We know this can present challenges for trustees who are time poor or have only recently established an SMSF.
“We have invested in the online course to help simplify the key requirements and responsibilities for SMSF trustees. We firmly believe in the importance of education in providing trustees with the best opportunity to successfully manage and grow their fund.
“As the leading provider of administration and education services in the SMSF market, we believe we play an important role in sharing our knowledge and expertise with SMSF trustees to make this happen,” he said.
The course is free of charge and can be accessed via the ATO website.
