An Electronic Service Address (ESA) is like a digital mailbox for your SMSF. It allows your fund to receive employer contributions, rollovers and certain ATO messages electronically, which is required under SuperStream.

Every SMSF must have an active ESA to comply with SuperStream legislation. Without one, your fund may not be able to receive contributions or rollovers, putting your compliance at risk.

If your ESA provider exits the market, your SMSF will no longer receive SuperStream messages. This means employer contributions or rollovers could bounce back.
